Register for Hingham Girls Hockey

HINGHAM – Hingham Girls Hockey is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the popular Learn to Play program for the 2022-23 season. To see also : Fulton Health Authority is responsible for testing for monkey cancer.

The goal of the Learn to Play program is to introduce girls aged 5 and up to ice skating and hockey in a fun environment. The format for the sessions will include instruction on skating techniques and puck skills modeled after the ADM USA Hockey model. Games on small surfaces will conclude each training session. For the next season, the Learn to Play program will have two sessions.

The schedule will include skills training twice a week on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings at Pilgrim Intermediate Rink. The fall session begins on Wednesday, September 14.

Registration for the Hingham Girls Hockey Learn to Play Program is now open on the Hingham Girls Hockey website www.hinghamgirlshockey.org. The jersey will be provided. Questions can be directed to HGH02043@gmail.com.

McBride take his best shot at helping cure cancer

HINGHAM – Hingham High senior and team captain Liam McBride represented Harbormen basketball in the 10th annual A Shot for Life contest at the U of Hanover. See the article : Hall County High School opens new high-tech building.

The top 16 shooters in the state were selected to compete in the contest and the opportunity to be named the best shooter in Massachusetts, all while raising money to fight cancer. Participants shot continuously for two hours from various levels, including free throws, mid-range shots and three-pointers.

McBride finished second with an impressive 86.1% of his shots, narrowly edging out winner Trevor Mullins of St. Sebastian, who scored 87.1%.

Over $40,000 was raised for cancer research at the event.
