Fans are hoping to see a release date for The Boys Gen V soon to get them over while they wait for season four. While we’ve known about the series for a while under its former name, The Boys Presents: Varsity, we only knew the basic premise until recently. As production increases, we get more information, including hints as to when Gen V might be released.
What’s the Gen V Season 1 release date?
The Gen V release date will be sometime in 2023, according to a Deadline interview with Co-Head of Television at Amazon Studios Vernon Sanders. In fact, Sanders said he was so excited about the premise that he asked The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke to finish it two years earlier than his original estimate.
In Gen V, we will see a group of young supes being tested in The Hunger Games-like challenges at Godolkin University School of Crimefighting. The school is run by Voight International, which uses it as a way to scout future talent. The better a supe performs in the competitions, the greater the chance that they will get a place on a coveted team.
So far we know the names behind the main role, but the roles have not yet been revealed for more of them:
