The open air concert season ends in many places in August with a final burst of music.
No matter what era or style of music you prefer, chances are you’ll find it somewhere in the state this month. You’ll find all kinds of rock, rap, blues, country, pop opera, R&B and more.
Slightly more recent acts, including Lauv, Leon Bridges and Kid LAROI, will perform at Kemba Live.

• 2 August, Phish. Tickets start at $ 49.50. The vintage jam band is on the road again, much to the delight of its many followers.
• August 3, Rob Zombie and Mudvayne. Tickets start at $ 18.75. Shock-rocker Zombie is taking a break from directing a film version of “The Munsters” to tour with heavy metal band Mudvayne.
• 9 August, Incubus. Tickets start at $ 20. The Californian rock band has been going strong since the 90s.
• 23 August, Korn and Evanescence. Tickets start at $ 29.50. Nu-metal pioneers Korn join goth band Evanescence, led by Amy Lee since the 1990s, for what should be a high decibel concert.
• August 24, Pitbull. Tickets start at $ 29.50. The Miami rapper is known for his upbeat, high-energy shows.
• August 30, Wiz Khalifa. Tickets start at $ 29.50. The rapper, a Pittsburgh native and strong cannabis advocate, has been consistently touring for the past decade.

• August 25, Rick Springfield, Men at Work and John Waite. The three acts will take listeners back to the 1980s.

• August 3, Goo Goo Dolls. Tickets start at $ 41. While the Dolls could have continued on “Iris” forever, they have continued to release albums, including the August release “Chaos in Bloom”.
• August 6, Elvis Costello and the impostors. Tickets start at $ 23.50. Songwriter Costello has been going strong since the 1970s, with his new album, “A Boy Named If”, receiving the same acclaim as his previous work.
• 11 August, Ted Nugent. Tickets start at $ 23.50. The controversial rocker will play guitar and will likely express an opinion or two.
• August 14, Boz Scaggs. Tickets start at $ 43. The Canton Scaggs guitarist has been playing rock, jazz, R&B and blues since the 1960s, with his latest album, “Out of the Blues,” returning to its blues roots.
