One person died early Saturday morning at a music venue in Cullera, Spain, after strong winds caused the stage to collapse.

Of the dozens injured at the Medusa Festival, three were seriously injured, emergency officials said.

Organizers of the event said on Facebook that they were “sorry and saddened.”

DJ Miguel Serna said he was playing music on the main stage from 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. when the wind picked up and the stage collapsed.

“It was a very tense moment, I’ve never seen anything like it before,” he wrote on Instagram on Saturday.

“The tragedy happened at the end of my session on the main stage, below, which was the most affected area. It was a few moments of shock, I’m still in shock.”

The activities of the event were suspended for several days.
