Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection (8/30)
TMNT fans can enjoy even more Turtles games before the summer ends. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection features 13 retro TMNT games originally released between 1989 and 1993. The games were originally released on Slots, Game Boy, NES, SNES, or Sega Genesis. New features will be added to the collection, such as button mapping, save states, and online multiplayer for some titles. Previously unpublished artwork from the development of the games will be exhibited at the in-game museum.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R (9/1)
Anime fans are awaiting a feast with the release of the Bizarre Adventure JoJo: All Star Battle R. It refreshes the original All Star Battle from 2013 with CyberConnect2 and adds updated combat mechanics, new characters and more stages. There are over 50 characters from the series’ eight arcs, as well as Ikuro Hashizawa from Hirohiko Araki’s earlier Baoh series. The game celebrates the 35th anniversary of the manga and the 10th anniversary of the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure anime.
The Last of Us Part I (9/2)
The long-ago and only recently confirmed remake of The Last of Us Part I officially appears on PS5 this week. The remake will improve the visuals of the first game, align character designs with Part II, introduce haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, and add many accessibility options. While many fans have wondered why such a recent (and recently remastered) game was reworked – and for $ 70 – the game was potentially made as other Naughty Dog projects are yet to go into production, and this remake gave developers something to do ( re: don’t get fired).
