The games continued on Friday and, despite bad weather that delayed games until the late hours of the night, the action was full of moments worth highlighting.

United States 20, Scotland 1

The lopsided firepower quickly became apparent as the United States dominated Scotland in a number of statistical categories, including traction controls (20-3, USA), turnover (15-9, Scotland), and shots (32-7, USA).
The Scottish backs came together to make five saves and, despite the United States turning the ball more than nine times, the Scots struggled to get the ball into their offensive end, going 6-14 on the net.
Six different players scored a couple of goals for the United States, with Charlotte North leading by five goals on six shots. Kennedy, McCool and Kylie Ohlmiller added the man’s hat trick.
Apuzzo won the Player of the Match honors, earning five assists and a turnover that led to his victory.
Both teams will have to recover quickly, as Scotland play England on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and the United States take over Australia at 7:30 p.m.
Canada 9, Australia 5

After Australia’s Georgia Latch scored the first goal of the game just over two minutes into the game, Canada were scoreless until late in the third period. During that stretch, Canada went on a 7-0 run to take a comfortable lead for the rest of the game.
Dana Dobbie stepped up Canada’s offense, relying on a three – shot hat trick and Aurora Cordingley added two goals and an assist. Latch led Australia, who lifted two goals in the loss.
Italy 17, Sweden 6

Stephanie Colson and Colleen Owen combined for 15 of Italy ‘s total goals with eight and seven, respectively. Owen also assisted in the win and Colson won nine draw games.
Ireland 10, Spain 6
Katrina Dowd led by five points (2G, 3A) as Ireland earned their first win. Cliodhna Kerr found the back of the net four times, adding five draw controls and Margaret Egan scored four goals.
Spain was led by Teresa Burguera, who lifted four goals and two draw controls.
New Zealand 16, Austria 3
New Zealand secured their second win of the tournament on Friday, cruising over Austria in a 16-3 victory. Sarah Butler led the way – scoring six points and shooting 100% off the pitch. Julia Falconer added a hat trick and picked up a pair of ground balls and a pull control.
Czech Republic 20, Columbia 3
Tierney Larson scored an eight-point equalizer, giving up four points and four assists as the Czech Republic beat Columbia past. Markéta Malinovská (4G, 1A) and Isabelle Martire (5G) both contributed a major score of their own. Columbia’s Vivian Owens excelled in a cage, making 14 saves, but the Czech Republic’s firepower was too great to stop.
Haudenosaunee 9, China 6
A balanced offense helped the Haudenosaunee secure their first win of the tournament as they beat China 9-6 on Friday afternoon. Jayln Jimerson speeded up his team with a couple of points and helps. Wynter Jock added a pair of goals in just two hits. China led Sandra Edwards and Charlotte Sawicki, who scored two goals, and Shannon Brazier added a goal and two assists.
Germany 10, Latvia 2
Germany managed to secure a second victory, currently at the top of the ranks in Swimming C. Tessa Helf led the Germans with three points and Antonia Garbe added a pair of points and an assist. Jennifer Markey was a force in midfield, winning six game – height pull controls to go along with her three points (2G, 1A).
Japan 23, Argentina 3
Japan took on Argentina, starting the game with a 5-0 first quarter. They kept up the pressure, jumping ahead 12-1 going into the half and over doubling that score in the second half. Ten different players registered multiplayer games, with Kokora Nakazawa swinging the team with four goals and two assists. Kanako Mizuno also scored four points in the win.
Israel 16, Norway 5
Israel won their third World Cup victory against Norway due to a strong performance in the first half. After jumping out a 6-0 lead at half time, Israel crued to a 16-5 victory. Zoe Martin led Israel with five goals and assists, adding six draw controls. Courtney Miller received four assists in the win.
Wales 13, Jamaica 4
It was Sophie Morrill last night, with Wales cruising over Jamaica to win 13-4. Morrill raised eight points (5G, 3A) to speed up the Welsh offense and Phoebe Smith added a hat trick and three ground balls. Jamaica was led by Kara-Jade Gordon with three goals, a ground ball and five draw controls, while Shannen Graham made nine saves.
Puerto Rico 13, Korea Republic 2
Puerto Rico jumped out 10-0 going into the half as they stormed over the Republic of Korea. Six multiplayer players scored, with Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw and Skylar Carrasquillo both scoring three goals. Carrasquillo added nine draw controls to the win. Gabrielle Cha and Garam Na from the Republic of Korea scored once.
