Whether it was basketball, baseball, or golf, sports have always been an important part of Chris Cross’s life. Originally from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Chris made sports a central part of his life, starting in middle school and continuing through college.
In 2014, Chris began working as the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance at Cedarville University, and in February 2022, he was promoted to Athletic Director.
Since stepping into the role of Athletic Director, Chris and his coaching staff have set goals for the coming year. He believes that student-athletes should seek to be “called servants of Christ.”

Chris is determined that student athletes represent and promote the brand of Cedarville University. His desire is that when his players interact with players from other schools, there is no question about what they believe and what they stand for.
As the new Athletics Director, Chris wants to make sure that Cedarville takes care of their athletes, and focuses on their health and wellness. He wants athletes to be characterized by their personal relationship with Christ and their commitment to serving and honoring Him. The athletics department focuses internally to promote academic excellence and spiritual growth.
