A Vietnam-based company that makes a mobile music app called Zing MP3 must face a copyright infringement lawsuit in the United States, the Ninth Circuit ruled Thursday.

VNG Corp. had tried to escape the lawsuit from Lang Van Inc. – which owns the copyright to thousands of Vietnamese songs – by arguing that the Los Angeles federal court where the complaint was filed lacked jurisdiction over the company.
