Rock band Foreigner caused a stir on FOX Square at the Fox & Friends All-American Summer Concert Series.
The band spoke to “Fox & Friends hosts Brian Kilmeade, Steve Doocy and Ainsley Earhardt.

Foreigner joins Kid Rock on tour this summer. Although both artists are from different eras, Foreigner lead singer Kelly Hansen says the reason it works is because he thinks the fanbase is the same and there’s a lot of participation.
Hansen shared the secret of the band’s success and how the music resonates equally from generation to generation.
“I think there are a couple of reasons,” he said. “I think first of all it’s a really high quality catalog of songs. We were really lucky to have that. You know, as a singer, I’m really happy to be able to sing this catalog of songs.”
“Also, I think there’s a lot of factors like placements in movies and commercials and TV shows and things like that that make people pay attention when they’re not,” he added. “And then they look for the catalog and listen to the rest of the songs. Then they say, oh I didn’t know they did that, I didn’t know they did that. And that’s kind of cool.”

The band’s lead singer also spoke about how they’ve managed to stick together after so many years.
“Look at these beautiful men up here. Look at that,” Hansen said. “Wow! You know we’re so fortunate to do what we do and we recognize that as musicians who’ve been around the block more than once. And like I said before, to be able to play that catalog of songs with people that we actually all like to be together and hang out and you’ve heard nightmare stories of bands that don’t get along but have to stay together, because the music is popular and they have something to do we really like each other.
“We’ve all been here a long time, you know,” he continued. “And you can’t ask or pay for a better situation than this with these guys, can you? They are amazing.”

In the coming weeks, the star-studded Fox & The Friends concert series will feature artists such as We the Kingdom, Michael Ray, Chris Lane and more.
Viewers can stream each concert live on Fox Nation or watch Fox & Turn on Friends.
Fans can attend the concerts in person at FOX Square every Friday through August 26th. They are free to the public and are held at FOX Square at 48th Street and 6th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
