The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021)
One of the best family movies on Netflix. From some of the same people who created Spider-Man: In the Spider-Verse comes this world-saving event involving Mother, Father, children and their ugly, bug-infested dog. But in the midst of the robot apocalypse, led by Olivia Colman’s sinister Siri, actually The Mitchells vs. the Machines is a strained relationship between the movie-loving girl Katie and her father technophobe. The tech-free parent gags are full, they are ugly colors and the growth of character moves. A close-up package with an unmistakable message that embraces your anger is a powerful force.
The award-winning French film begins with a broken hand coming out of a refrigerator in a laboratory and begins a Paris research of its entire body. What a revelation! With a few twists and turns, this mysterious, satisfying story sinks into a loss, both physical and emotional, by poetic means.
Action/Adventure
2017’s Okja is from Parasite director Bong Joon-ho – which should be inspiring enough to see it. Part of the chey dark comedy, the surreal part of the fun environment, Okja follows a little South Korean girl with a pet friend groomed pig. But Okja is the target of a big company that loves its delicious meat. With an English cast cast that includes the likes of Tilda Swinton and Jake Gyllenhaal, Okja sucks in with its sweetness before it proves to be a close-knit distraction of the meat industry.
Crime/War
Spike Lee’s war game follows a group of veteran Vietnamese veterans returning to the country in search of the remains of their team leader – as well as hidden treasures. With a terrifying force moving in it, Da 5 Blood gives you a look at the Vietnam War through black experiences, offering a critique of apartheid and war.
Taking the lives of its members for decades, The Irishman pulls out a 3-and-a-half-hour criminal bag. But don’t worry – you can break this tour de force if you want. Always smart and entertaining, with Martin Scorsese favoring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci directing the screen, The Irishman climbs on top of you, giving a terrific look of the elderly mob and the violence they destroy.
Beasts of No Nation (2015)
President Cary Joji Fukunaga gives you a shocking vision of the life of a boy who became a child soldier in the West African country drawn into civil war. Idris Elba stars as a Cruel Leader along with the remarkable Abraham Attah as the youngest Agu. A face-to-face but silent image with the prospect of war from a human point of view, The No Nation Beasts must be on your radar if it is not already.
Comedy
The Forty-Year-Old Version (2020)
The title of this comedy-drama may sound familiar, but a closer look at it does not make sense. The Forty-Year-Year Version follows Radha, a playwright and educator who finds himself drawn to the oblivion of his childhood: rap. Inspired by author, director and star Radha Blank for real life, this beautiful diary of a troubled singer will inspire and hit home, with the theme of failure and potential fulfillment.
Tennis friends Michael (Mark Duplass) and Andy (Ray Romano) receive disturbing news: Michael has stomach cancer. Struggling to let his friend die, Andy joins Michael in his quest for a cure before it gets too painful. Folding the comedy into melancholy, Paddleton simplifies the friendship that holds on to its foundation in the wrong places.
Dolemite Is My Name (2019)
Eddie Murphy is back from his dance holiday with a celebrity like Rudy Ray Moore, a comedian who played the actor Dolemite in stand-up comedy and in fraudulent films from the ’70s. Dolemite Is My Name Following Moore from his record label career to the big screen. In imitation of Moore’s rise to fame and his amazing and exciting conversion, Dolemite My Name corrects Moore and Murphy’s talents.
Paul Giamatti and Kathryn Hahn stars in a comedy show that has something to say about modern marriage? Secret Life is a special and possible part of a couple of middle-aged New York people who are concerned about the different aspects of having a baby. But because Hahn and Giamatti are in it, it shines with intelligence and beauty. Add Kayli Carter to the mix like Sadie, a college drop, and you have another step to this movie that inspires the unthinkable to enter a new phase of life.
Jake Johnson co-writes this series from prolific indie director Joe Swanberg (he was behind the Netflix anthology TV series Easy Again). Win It All follows Eddie, a gambling addict who agrees to hand over a purse to a local thief on his way to jail. Making one of the many uncertain decisions, Eddie is immersed in money. If you are a fan of simple, deep-rooted storytelling, Win It All is fun that brings out Johnson’s humor and humor.
The Meyerowitz Stories (2017)
The Meyerowitz Stories comedy drama was narrated through the lens of Noah Baumbach. The nicknames are about the unemployed older brothers, played by Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller, trying to live in the shadow of their father. The actors, including Dustin Hoffman, play these brilliant, albeit tragic, actors as they weave their touching stories.

Vampires vs. the Bronx (2020)
Vampires vs. the Bronx is a comedy-horror comedy in more ways than one. Located in the New York area of the Bronx, follows young Miguel Martinez, a heart-willed kid who helps raise money for his local bodaga. But it is not just new clothing stores that are threatening to invade: White bloodthirsty residents are devouring people and their belongings. Details on how to make gentrification have goofy charm, twists and fun, Vampires vs. the Bronx is a new, entertaining nation.
His house is a horror flick that, yes, strikes near the house. Revealing its mysterious evil through a horrible human story, follows Bol and Rial, two refugees from Sudan, struggling to adjust to their new life in an English town. Don’t expect a straight jump – His House plays in the old psyche, adding some painful corridors. A painful, powerful piece.
This horrible psychological horror is taken a bit from author-writer Isa Mazzei episodes like camgirl (or webcam mod). But Cam is not the story, following Alice Ackerman, a young girl who one day sees her real picture and took her game. This fun selection of bright red and intimidating art is the best thing to hit on it.
One of the most successful Stephen King adaptations, this terrific drama is based on the novel 1922 novel slow and shocking action in the middle of it. Thomas Jane, who you will also know from Boogie Nights and 2004’s The Punisher, presents one of his best work as always proud of Wilfred James, a farmer who makes a wise decision to kill his wife with the help of their teenage son. . The result is frustrating at several stages (if you don’t like rats, you may not like rats after this).
If you have been warned by The Haunting of the House House, then Mike Flanagan adapted the Stephen King novel Gerald’s Game is a must-watch. The couple goes on vacation to a beach house, where one thing leads to another … and Carla Gugino’s Jessie ends up with her hands tied on the bed with no visible escape. Gugino puts in a large, tidy out-of-closed bedroom. Expect satisfying and satisfying conclusions, with the anxiety-shock that comes in a silent victory over its crazy colors.
Western
The Power of the Dog (2021)
More than a decade after her previous film, Bright Star, the amazing filmmaker Jane Campion unveiled the director’s chair again to oversee the Power of the Dog. Don’t expect a high-octane event: This street movie is inspired by a person’s size and positive outlook. Anyway, you will want to be comfortable within the comfort zone with the pure compassion Hanks driver.
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018)
The Coen Brothers throw dust in the west with an anthology film that gives you all six vignettes placed across the American border. One of them was the so-called Buster Scruggs, a cowboy singing cowboy who often lifts shooting in a cantina. But there is a dark twist that keeps you on your toes. Sewing some of its stories as well as the laughter that always cuts, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs defeats the Coen Brothers.
Drama
Rebecca Hall makes her first design in the best fashion with her design Nella Larsen’s 1929 novel Passing. It tells the story of two women with Black skin, one of whom chooses to “pass” as white. Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga combine dualism at the heart of this simple story, shot black and white. Held graciously, Than a soft image that reflects the depth of the mind.
Tick, Tick… Boom! (2021)
Andrew Garfield takes a look at this live music drama about Jonathan Larson, the late singer behind Rent and Tiki, the Beast … Boom! This movie, directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda in his first book, follows Larson’s work and the moment of compulsion he feels to leave forever. With fun-filled music, a thought-provoking essay on creative techniques and entertaining performances from Garfield like Larson, Tick, Tiki … Boom! grace and feel-good tax.
This beautiful British game digs a lot of treasures hidden by famous actors in Carey Mulligan, Ralph Fiennes, Lily James and Johnny Flynn. It is based on actual events surrounding the 1939 excavation of Sutton Hoo, uncovering a treasure trove of Anglo-Saxon artifacts hidden in a burial vessel. Romantic, intelligent and moving, The Dig is a complete sweep of beauty.
The Boys in the Band (2020)
The Boys in the Band features a new level of ensemble cast who have all made a high-profile play-by-the-same-name’s 2018 Broadway revival. Among them, Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto and Matt Bomer. This movie brings a whole new look to the birthday party celebrated by a gay group in 1968 in New York City. The party does the unexpected when a previous visitor calls. With actors who know how to dance against each other and compelling themes such as self-loathing and homophobia, The Boys in the Band makes one think, the drama is fun.
Another black-and-white David Fincher legend about the unwritten screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz who helped Orson Welles write Citizen Kane. The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020)
Aaron Sorkin’s play based on a true story? The Chicago 7 trial is based on its ethnicity, following a life sentence of a group of Vietnamese warlords accused of inciting violence. With a stellar ensemble cast, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the Chicago 7 Test is high quality and full of compelling sports power.
This game show from 2019 featured the second event director Steven Soderbergh used the iPhone to shoot a film genre (the first was 2018’s Usane). The High Flying Bird tells the story of a sports fan facing an ax unless he pulls out a company maintenance plan within 72 hours. To take the extreme contradictions of professional games through selected shooting techniques, High Flying Bird is an interesting piece put together with professional strategy, adjustment and performance.
A movie about divorce may not sound appealing, but it is a marriage story of Noah Baumbach that you will want to take. Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver offer two of the highest quality of their work as Nicole and Charlie, two of the first strict legal systems involved in breaking the union. Painted with emotion the complexity includes moments that are shocking as well as painful, these are fun-sad at its best.
The game was the most publicized in Vatican City, following Pope Benedict XVI and Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio after the Vatican leaks. It’s as fun as it sounds. Two Popes starring in a real-world-first-class drama featuring Jonathan Pryce and Anthony Hopkins.
Alfonso Cuaron’s semi-autobiographical snapshot of the Colonia Rome area of Mexico City tells a small story with incredible potential. Let Cuaron guide you through the ups and downs of the middle-class home caregiver. His lens captures the beautiful effects in the album that wraps you around quietly with wonder and grace.
This Italian movie has a patent from Bong Joon-ho, so let’s listen to the Oscar-winning director of Parasite and add it to this list. Written and directed by Alice Rohrwacher, Happy as Lazzaro was housed in the ’70s on a tobacco farm, where the kind-hearted little Lazzaro worked hard. When a nobleman persuades her to help him falsely claim his abduction, the issue of friendship, innocence and social cohesion occurs. A beautiful, cinematic fairytale image.
This charming Spanish movie will immerse you in its rich graphics and beautiful performances from its leading glory. Susi Sánchez and Bárbara Lennie stars like Anabel and Chiara respectively, a divorced mother and daughter reunite for unknown reasons as they start acting. The sequel to the movie here is worth immersing in those who have deliberately chosen to reflect on the pain, the love and the loss. Shasha.
The Kindergarten Teacher (2018)
Maggie Gyllenhaal presents an excellent role in Kindergarten Teacher, a game of, yes, a kindergarten teacher. Lisa is dissatisfied with her life, which leads her to make unwise decisions regarding one of her younger students. When Jimmy shows talent in writing poetry, Lisa may or may not take it. The Kindergarten Teacher’s Lesson Less Problem can leave you feeling overwhelmed, but there is no doubt about Gyllenhaal’s shocking performance.

Thriller
I’m Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
The fun of the mind sinks into that surreal. I’m Thinking to End It Really will not be for everyone, but it will connect you to the heartache of a young woman (Jessie Buckley) in her heart, struggling to break her seven-week relationship with her boyfriend Jake (Jesse Plemons). While it goes beyond its acceptance a bit, I’m Thinking of Ending Things that always keep your fingers crossed, with atmospheric animation and solid games from Toni Collette and David Thewlis as Jake’s mysterious parents. Fans of director-writer Charlie Kaufman will be delighted.
