The summer of games is in full swing! The year got off to a great start with big releases like Pokémon Legends: Arceus to Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring in early 2022, and that fantastic trend looks set to continue throughout the summer months with Triple A games and indie darlings being released left and right. .

Digimon Survive (7/29)

Digimon Survive has been around for a long time. Originally announced in 2018, it’s coming to PC and last-gen consoles this week, after numerous delays, the start of a pandemic, engine shutdowns, and a developer shutdown that forced the game’s development to restart from the ground up. Digimon Survive will mix several game genres to create a visual novel where the player’s choices influence the direction of the story between survival episodes and tactical battles.

MultiVersus beta (7/26)

MultiVersus’ beta will be released tomorrow after being available for a week to those who had access to the closed alpha since May. The free-to-play platformer (think Smash Bros.) features characters from various WB properties, including Rick & Their show’s eponymous Morty and LeBron James are the latest characters announced for the game Space Jam: A New Legacy, and hopefully more are on the way.
