The Summer Games Done Quick, an annual speedrunning event, raised $3.01 million for Doctors Without Borders, according to organizers.
The event, which took place in Bloomington, Minnesota, was the first in-person GDQ event since Awesome Games Done Quick 2020.
Every performance since SGDQ 2022 can be found archived on the Games Done Quick YouTube channel.

The next Games Done Quick event will be Flame Fatales, a women-only speed run that will take place online from August 21-27.
Highlights from the summer event include a Halo Infinite speedrun by WaifuRuns that lasted just under 90 minutes. By gliding through the world and taking advantage of the game’s notoriously unstable grappling hook physics, the player was able to fly through the game at ridiculous speeds.
As the event crossed the $3 million mark, it ended with two Elden Rings. You can watch the moment a live audience watched the counter surpass its $3 million mark below.

Games Done Quick events have so far raised more than $40 million for charities around the world since their inception in 2010, including Doctors Without Borders, Cancer Prevention Foundation, Malala Fund, Autism Research Organization and CARE.
After two years and several remote events, it stands to reason that future Games Done Quick events will revert to being primarily live in the future.
