The first-ever Global Forum for Clean Energy Action brought together 34 countries and nearly 400 CEOs in a global showcase for clean energy action to accelerate new technologies to market and unlock the global transition to net emissions.

PITTSBURGH, P.A. — The United States concluded the first-ever Global Clean Energy Action Forum with an incredible array of international announcements to accelerate a just transition to a cleaner and more secure energy future. Granholm chaired the inaugural event, which brought together thousands of clean energy leaders – government ministers, CEOs, innovators, civil society, young professionals. The event also convened the 13th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and the 7th Mission Innovation Ministerial (MI), two important international platforms for cooperation on clean energy innovation and deployment. The Global Clean Energy Action Forum concluded with the announcement that a dozen countries had come together to surpass an international funding goal by committing $94 billion to clean energy demonstration projects.
