The United States government participated in the swearing-in of the municipality through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the municipality of Nueva Concepción. The working group will start coordinated activities focusing on the prevention of illegal migration, immediate attention to mobility (return migration, transit migration and forced resettlement) and the reintegration of returned migrants into the municipality. Entities belonging to the group include the Office of the Ombudsman (PDDH), the National Civil Police (PNC), the Salvadoran Institute for the Development of Women (ISDEMU), the National Hospital of Nueva Concepción, Plan International, the Integration Center. Migrant Workers (CIMITRA), the United States Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), the International Red Cross (IRC), the Salvadoran Humanitarian Aid Association (PRO-VIDA) and the Association of Ministers of the Gospel of Nueva Concepción (AMEN).
In addition, during the activity, emergency services were provided to returnees and their families, medical, dental, psychosocial and legal assistance was provided to visitors; There were also informative billboards on the prevention of illegal migration.
