Ernestas Tyminas felt “stuck” in his role as marketing manager for a newspaper in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
So he said he asked for two months off to backpack through Asia, landing in Beijing in January 2019.

The trio – including Cosmo, who traveled in the huge bed in the back of his SUV – traveled first to Croatia and then slowly across much of Europe, including many former Soviet Union countries, Karpitskaya said.
She said she never returned to work and the couple have been traveling ever since.

They encounter dirty Airbnbs and hosts who cancel their reservations at the last minute. They have also had their photographic equipment and clothing stolen twice – once in Mexico, and more recently in France – and an attempt to steal their belongings from a car in Barcelona while they were sitting in it.
