Onsite Productions, With Help From the Vault
Given the unpredictability of the locations and short schedules required for the NLDS, Fox’s production will be fully on-site for the Padres-Dodgers and Phillies-Braves series. When the NLCS begins, the LA-based Fox Sports Vault enters the equation with six game EVS replay operators, one Vizrt graphics operator and a FoxBox scorebug operator located remotely in Los Angeles. In addition, Studio Show Production has one replay, graphics and teleprompter operator in Vault with editing/post-production support.
Thumbwar is back to remotely oversee Fox’s post-production and media management, providing a fully remote processing solution in the cloud for the NLCS and World Series. One editor handles the in-game turnaround locally and three feature editors are away. See the article : 7 new movies and TV shows on Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max and more this weekend (July 1st). Thumbwar has two data centers—one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast—to serve remote editors in different locations. Thumbwar also manages all of Fox’s file transfer workflows, both in-house and with WBD Sports and Major League Baseball.
