Blake Barry added 138 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns.

NEENAH — Jase Jenkins rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns and Evan Vanevenhoven added 122 yards and two points to lead the Rockets past the Bluejays at Rocket Stadium.

Vanevenhoven hit on 65 yards and 25 yards in the first quarter, Jenkins hit on 70 yards in the second quarter and on 53 yards and 10 yards in the fourth quarter for the Rockets (2-0). Read also : Local sports briefs for Friday 12 August 2022.

AJ Korth had 150 yards on 30 carries to lead the Bluejays, with Chase Parker hitting on a 2-yard run in the second quarter. Enock Mulungula also scored on a 4-yard run for the Bluejays (1-1).

HORTONVILLE — The Red Raiders’ Brock Steinbrecher recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown that turned the momentum in Pulaski’s win over the Polar Bears.

Pulaski added two touchdowns on a 7-yard pass from Logan Schultz to Aidan McDougla and an 8-yard run from Maverick Cole in the third quarter.

Winston Peters caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from Brodin Butzin in the fourth quarter to pull Hortonville within five points, but that’s as close as it gets.

Hortonville passed Pulaski 261-199 and had an 11 1/2 minute lead in possession.

LITTLE CHUTE — Drew Joten had 120 yards rushing and hit on a 37-yard run in the fourth quarter to lift the Mustangs past the Hawks.

Little Chute (2-0) ended up rushing for 146 yards. The Mustangs also got a 1-yard touchdown run from junior quarterback Charlie Vanden Burgt.

Nate Twombly had 100 yards with 24 carries for Xavier (1-1) and hit on a 45-yard rush for the Hawks’ only hit.

Clintonville 34, Brillion 14

BRILLION – Kade Rosenow completed 13 of 21 passes for 186 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Truckers over the Lions.

Rosenow threw touchdown passes for 26 and 31 yards to Jordan Wegener and 1 and 11 yards to Samuel Wegener.

Jaden Bastian led Brillion with 83 yards rushing on 19 carries.

Waupaca, meanwhile, rushed for 201 yards and passed for 51 yards. The Comets struggled with the third down, converting just one of their 10 third down plays into first downs.

APPLETON — Hezekiah Mletzko scored twice in the first seven minutes and Landon Gray added a third goal in the ninth minute for D.C. Add Everest.

Each team had five shots on goal. Jacob Lorge had five saves for D.C. Everest while Ethan Nadboralski saved two chances for the Lightning.

Hortonville 2, Pulaski 1

PULASKI – Ryan Drafz put Pulaski on the board first in the 6th minute and Eli Weyenberg equalized for Hortonville in the 12th minute. Dylan Glad scored the winning goal for the polar bears from the penalty spot in the 77th minute.

Mason Baker had six saves for Pulaski and Nathan Bolling saved three shots for Hortonville.
