ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Soccer and hockey sports clinics are coming to Rochester.

Dick’s Sporting Goods House of Sport is hosting clinics with professional athletes from the National Football League and the National Hockey League.

The hockey combine with Tampa Bay Lightning scout Stephen Gionta took place on Saturday, where kids ages 10 to 18 participated in similar tryouts and workouts conducted by professional athletes.

“They can put kids in a program outside of this test that benefits them and improves their scores,” Gionta said. “I think it’s a great opportunity for kids to see what professional athletes go through after a summer of training before their seasons start.”

Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Moe Jackson is hosting a speed and skills clinic Monday through Thursday from 1-4 p.m. for children from 10 to 17 years old.

To top it off, former Baltimore Ravens running back Latavius Murray and Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis will host a Friday Night Lights on July 22 with the first session from 5-6:30 p.m. for ages 10 to 13 and the second session from 7 to 8 p.m. for ages 14 to 17.
