Iconic heavy metal band Iron Maiden express their support for Joseph Quinn’s Eddie Munson by promoting his music in the second volume of Stranger Things 4.

Stranger Things’ Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn in the show’s fourth season, found an adherent in his musical tastes in none other than the band Iron Maiden.
In the recently released eighth episode of Stranger Things 4, titled “Chapter Eight: Papa”, several members of the series’ extensive cast are frantically searching Eddie’s house in search of music to save Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) from the effects of Vecna’s curse. . This leads to a memorable line from a frustrated Eddie who, after being told they need music instead of his heavy metal albums, yells that his Iron Maiden album is music. The band’s official Twitter account posted a photo of Eddie’s defense of metalheads everywhere earlier this week, along with a caption that reads, “We’re with you Eddie!”
Iron Maiden aren’t the first legendary metal band to react positively to Eddie’s musical exploits this season. Introduced in the first episode of Stranger Things 4, Eddie is the eccentric Dungeon Master of the Hellfire Club, wrongly accused of murder after Chrissy Cunningham is killed by Vecna in her home. In a recent interview, Quinn explained her thoughts after first witnessing Chrissy’s gruesome death scene. “They showed it to me and I was like, ‘There’s no way you can get away with this, Netflix won’t let you do this,'” Quinn said. “But they did and yes, I think it’s fucking awful.”
Despite his grotesque introduction, Eddie quickly became a fan favorite, with many viewers heartbroken after his tragic death in the season finale, before he even had a chance to clear his name from the series of murders plaguing Hawkins. Eddie’s death was so hard for some to swallow the show’s creators that the Duffer Brothers had to officially confirm the sad truth to hopeful fans online.
The upcoming fifth season of Stranger Things does not yet have a release date set. All nine episodes of season four are available to stream on Netflix.
