LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A long-running Louisville lifestyle magazine has announced that it will cease publication at the end of August.

The Voice-Tribune announced on its Facebook page that the August issue will be the magazine’s last, according to publisher Janice Carter Levitch Humphrey.

Humphrey said that while efforts were made to continue maintaining the magazine, price increases and declining revenue meant the magazine could no longer be published without “continued and increased personal subsidies.”

“It has been my honor and privilege to publish and deliver The Voice-Trbune to our beautiful community monthly,” said Humphrey. “Each member of our team brings incredible talents to the production of each issue and I am forever grateful for that.”

A farewell celebration for the magazine is planned at Yew Dell Gardens on August 5 from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
