DUNKIRK, NY:–Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene (CCDMH) is pleased to hold an open house on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 9 to 11 a.m. to the new Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) at 60 Franklin Ave. in Dunkirk, N.Y.
Approved by the New York State (NYS) Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), the ability to create a new CCBHC was granted to the CCMH. Designed with patient utilization and staff delivery in mind first, CCBHC provides wrap-around care, regardless of affordability.
Clinics received CCHC status in 2020 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA.) This designation means that international best practices, data collection, and performance indicators are monitored to ensure that clinics provide high-quality service that produces good results.
“Our team designed the new facility with the community and staff in mind,” said Clinic Director Tamie Coleman. “We are very excited for our community to see the results of the entire team coming together to bring our vision to life to provide the best care we can. Our main goal is to support CCDMH’s mission to provide Timely, Quality, and Accessible Care, and now we get to do it in a modern environment.”
