Resident Evil Is Laid to Rest on Hulu

Netflix’s live-action television series Resident Evil has divided fans and critics in its bold adaptation of the classic video game series. For those who might not be feeling fulfilled by the new show, or who want to delve more into the world of Resident Evil, this is the final weekend for the first 2002 film series to stream on Hulu. And while they’re not faithful to the source material, there’s still a lot of trashy fun in these movies.

The first four films in the original film series chronicle the Umbrella Corporation as it unleashes the devastating T-Virus upon the world, turning those infected into ravenous zombies. Joining the classic video game characters is Alice (Milla Jovovich), a genetically engineered super soldier who holds the fate of humanity in her hands. King Arthur Takes the Throne on Hulu

After attempting to reinterpret Sherlock Holmes, filmmaker Guy Ritchie set his sights on fellow English literary legend King Arthur. In the 2017 film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Charlie Hunnam takes on the title role and reveals his origins as the fabled King of England and leader of the Knights of the Round Table. See the article : The Amazon Prime Video Watch Party feature is now available on smart TVs and streaming devices. The film, available to stream now on Hulu, brings Ritchie’s usual flair for stylized action and cinematography to the ultimate fantasy paradigm.

Narrowly escaping death as a child, Arthur Pendragon grows up as a shrewd commoner while the sinister King Vortigern (Jude Law) rules England with an iron fist. After learning his true parentage, Arthur sets out to claim the mythical sword Excalibur and usurp the despot to lead England into an age of prosperity. While Legend of the Sword may not have been the rousing success the studio had hoped for, the film is available to those looking for a reinvention of the Arthurian legend.

Skyfall Takes Its Leave From Prime Video

Prime Video is fast becoming the home for James Bond streaming, including 2012’s blockbuster Skyfall, which marks the 50th anniversary of the film series. Skyfall was the first Bond film to gross over $1 billion at the box office and win awards. It was Daniel Craig’s third appearance as a British super spy. The film will leave Prime Video indefinitely in early August, with this set to be the final weekend on the digital platform for the foreseeable future.

After being presumably killed in combat during a disastrous mission in Turkey, James Bond resurfaces after MI-6 HQ is attacked by villain Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem). As Bond struggles to regain full physical fitness, he learns that Silva may have his own secret history with M, fueling his explosive vendetta. This is the perfect weekend to revisit Skyfall.

The Bear Is Open for Business on Hulu

One of the most critically acclaimed new shows of the year is The Bear, which premiered on Hulu last June and was renewed for a second season less than a month later. The show follows the misadventures of a renowned chef named Carmen Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) who returns to his hometown of Chicago to run his family’s sandwich shop. Supported by an impressive cast, this drama hits all the right notes and is perfect for unfamiliar viewers to experience the first season in its entirety this weekend.

Despite his excellent culinary training and reputation, Berzatto finds that line cooking has its own unique challenges. With the family business in shambles and its employees unwilling to modernize, Berzatto must resort to desperate means to keep things afloat. If you missed all the hype surrounding The Bear when the show premiered, you can stream all eight episodes on Hulu.
