(Pocket-lint) – If you didn’t already know, you’ll quickly realize that there will be another season of The Boys as soon as the end credits appear at the end of its third season.
Arguably the most controversial but exhilarating show on TV has been picked up for season 4, so here’s everything we know about it so far.

The Boys season 4 details, rumours and release date
The Boys season 4 was given the green light by Amazon Studios as soon as season 3 began airing (around early June 2022), There are few official details about it, but there’s still a lot of untouched source material in Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series on which it is based. Admittedly, given that the show has deviated slightly from the comics, including chronological changes, it’s hard to predict what showrunner Eric Kripke will use for season 4 and what he won’t. You can be guaranteed it will be both shocking and belly laughing.

There are plenty of other supergroups to introduce as well, with comic books featuring pastiche versions of nearly all of the major DC and Marvel supergroups (such as Justice League/The Seven, and The Avengers/Payback).
Some, like The Young American (loosely Teen Titans) have been touched on on the show (Drummer Boy is in season 3, for example), but we also get to see Teenage Kix or the G-Men appear at some point.
G-Men in particular is basically based on the X-Men, so it could play a big role.
There are suggestions that Black Noir could also return. He might be pushing daisies now, but someone else might take on the persona.
“This is definitely not the last time we see Black Noir as a hero,” Kipke told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s just that the guy who was in [the Noir suit] in season 3, he’s gone.”
As for the release date, nothing is set yet, although filming will begin soon – in August 2022. And with the pandemic no longer changing production schedules, that means we’ll be getting season 4 in the summer. 2023.

Will there be a The Boys season 5?
It’s not yet known if The Boys will end with season 4 – some cliffhangers at the end of season 3 would suggest so.
However, it has been confirmed that there will be an additional spin-off series based on the college for supes. Son: University. It might even appear before season 4 airs.
