Amazon Prime Video today released a preview of the new series, “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” which will debut exclusively on Prime Video on September 2.
The first look was released at 3am today, Wednesday July 6, and will be available to Prime members for 48 hours.
“J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendary Second Age of Middle-earth story takes center stage in this epic drama set thousands of years before the events of ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’ books. .
According to Amazon Prime, “an ominous sign in the night sky raises questions for the people of Middle-earth.”
The series will star Benjamin Walker as High King Gil-galad, Nazanin Boniadi as Bronwyn, Morfydd Clark as Galariel, Robert Aramayo as Elrond, Ismael Cruz Cordova as Arondir, Charles Edwards as Celebrimbor, Maxim Baldry as Isildur and Lenny Henry in Sadoc Burrows.
