Zero reactions to both Stray and A Plague Tale: Requiem so far

As many of you are well aware, I recently enjoyed the adventure of Stray cats. As an owner of two turtles, it was right up my alley. However, I have a confession to make. When I started seeing other real-life cats enjoying the game alongside their humans, I started to feel sad and a little left out. You see, my cats Maple and Midna have (yet!) shown no interest in the Stray, nor have their ears perked up in response to the cat’s toy meow. I won’t lie, it broke my heart a little.

However, I’m beginning to think that their (obvious and apparent) hatred of video games goes beyond simple disinterest. Last week I was playing A Plague Tale: Requiem for the first time, a game famous for hordes of screaming rats, and STILL nothing. They love to hunt rats and bring them home to leave as little gifts on the back door. Heck, they’ll even pull out their wigs and go into prowl mode when they hear them hauling under our floorboards (yes, we have a rat problem in our house). But clearly, their frozen murderous hearts have not been moved by their video game equivalents. Is this when your kids ignore your hobbies and go to their rooms clapping all day? Because it feels safe.
