Konami has announced that Amazing Bomberman, the new mobile entry in the franchise, will be released for Apple Arcade later this week.

Amazing Bomberman is described as a vivid, music-infused reimagining of the classic series.

The game will launch with seven different playable stages and “feature original music composed by artists from Japan and abroad.”

“The bomb placement and explosion sounds change with the songs, and the battle time also changes depending on the song,” Konami said. “When the song gets exciting, blocks will fall and items can appear when you smash them with bombs.”

The game also supports online battles for up to 4 players and a mission mode with customization rewards.

Playable on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV, Amazing Bomberman will be released exclusively on Apple Arcade.

The service, which offers hundreds of mobile games, currently costs £4.99 per month with a one-month free trial. Apple Arcade is also part of the Apple One Individual (£14.95), Family (£19.95) and Premier (£29.95) monthly plans, with a one-month free trial.

Last month, Konami officially announced the sequel to Super Bomberman R for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

In addition to the classic action maze modes, Super Bomberman R 2 will feature a new Castle Mode, according to the publisher.

Castle Mode is a 16-player mode where up to 15 players try to fight their way to treasure chests while one player tries to stop them.

The reveal of Super Bomberman R 2, which will be released next year, follows Konami’s announcement earlier this month that its free-to-play title Super Bomberman R Online will end on December 1st.
