The creator of Disco Elysium ZA/UM is looking for artists with a “love of sci-fi and video games” and the ability to create “unterrestrial environments”
As spotted by eagle-eyed members of the Disco Elysium subreddit, the job listings for three of the studio’s new art positions may hint at themes and topics that may appear in the studio’s next game.& # xD;
Interestingly, RPG fans don’t necessarily think this marks a big departure for the team, though, especially given “how often [the creators] put cultivation into the Disco Elysium scene”
“I’m not sure how much has changed in the company, but the leaders have talked about how often they put improvements on the Disco Elysium site (which is also the site of the lead author’s book), and how they intend to do it. Use it a lot in the past. going,” said TheFrankOfTurducken. “So my guess is that it will be the same ‘world’ as DE, but in a different location.” & # xD;
That said, especially in reference to Hamlet asking someone to “understand that there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamed of in philosophy” as well as “the architecture or planning of the city” and “a new world”, it is certainly that it has fans who think about it. next in the group (thanks, PC Gamer) & # xD;
A new deal between Amazon and dj2 Entertainment could see both Life is Strange and Disco Elysium adapted for film and TV. Amazon recently struck a deal with film producer Sonic to “create and produce content that will stream exclusively on Prime Video, including TV adaptations of sports IP”, specifically in addition to streaming games. mentioned & # xD;
Disco Elysium: Final Cut has been banned in Australia after its classification board refused to reclassify it in March 2021 because it “depict[s], depicts [es] or otherwise deals with [s] sexual affairs, drug abuse or addiction, criminal activity, cruelty, violence or rebellion or disgusting phenomena to offend the standards of morality, ethics and decency generally accepted by reasonable adults to an undistinguished extent “. & # xD;
This decision was overturned the following May, however, with the game censored for “high-impact themes, violent language and drug references” confirming 18 limited episodes. & # xD;
