The Wordle phenomenon has hit video games trivia with GuessThe.Game. Like Framed or Heardle, it works with players by identifying the media object with individual tips, which open with each guess. After six guesses, you’re out of luck.
GuessThe.Game works in a similar way to Framed in that it shows clear details in progress. However, unlike the first one, it only shows the parts of the frame at the beginning. The latest projections display unique and larger portions of different frames, ultimately producing more complete images. It also displays information about the quiz after the first picture. This starts with the Metacritic score and continues with the original platform, genre, release date, and developer.
It’s also similar to Framed in that the answer can become very clear after the fourth frame. It is unlikely that you will not think of it at all unless you are completely unfamiliar with the game, so knowledge is shown by knowing it as soon as possible. Therefore, GuessThe.Game is often about identifying small art assets, UI elements, or effects rather than identifying characters or big moments.
Similar games have exploded online since Wordle became a major player. Games that borrow the original character have become cultural pillars in their own right. Music guessing game Heardle was recently acquired by Spotify. There’s a video game version – not Spotify. Wordle itself now has many tools and training manuals; it even gets a party board game.
