IMIC supports the objectives of the Department of Defense and the Department of the Navy, particularly by promoting our key strategic advantage of alliances and partnerships.
According to the Chief of Naval Operations’ Navigation Plan 2022, it is critical for the Navy to “strengthen our strategic partnerships, increase interoperability, information sharing … working together to strengthen our ability to dominate conflict and further enhance integrated deterrence by proving united to potential adversaries.”
Throughout the course, students from partner nations learned from each other and from various U.S. Navy intelligence experts. Instructors covered a range of topics including US Navy doctrine, operational intelligence, maritime threats, intelligence principles and analytical concepts.
“Teaching this course is always a great experience because not only are the students from different backgrounds and countries, but they also have the opportunity to collaborate, and it allows us as instructors to see the material from a new perspective,” he said. Lt. McKenzie Barnett, one of the IMIC instructors.
Cmdr. Ak Tilak of the Indian Navy stated, “Interaction – Teaching – Learning – Repeating … A fusion of ideas from around the world, tied together by American wisdom. Great learning and great experience.”
