FC Barcelona’s visit to the United States raised great expectations in the local media. President Joan Laporta was especially targeted as the team made its way around different parts of the country.

His first appearance was in Miami, where the interviewer was none other than Barça legend Hristo Stoichkov, who is now a presenter on Univision.

In Las Vegas, he met with football editor Kevin Baxter of the Los Angeles Times and also of ESPN.

In Dallas, Laporta spoke to the business and finance magazine Forbes, the publisher of the annual football rich list. On that occasion, it was Michael Ozanian who was asking the questions.

In New York he visited the CBS studios, on 57th Street, Manhattan, and also passed by The New York Times to take a look around the offices and attend an interview with Tariq Panja. He also spoke to Goal.com.

And it wasn’t just the president. The players also spoke to various media, including ESPN, Univisión, Bleacher Report, Miami Herald, Telemundo and Fox Sports.
