I look forward to welcoming leaders from across the African continent to Washington, DC on December 13-15, 2022, for the U.S.-Africa Leaders’ Summit. The summit will demonstrate the United States’ continued commitment to Africa, and will emphasize the importance of U.S. relations.
The U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit will build on our shared foundations to better foster new economic dialogue; reaffirm the U.S.-Africa commitment to democracy and human rights; mitigate the effects of COVID-19 and future pandemics; work together to strengthen regional and global health; promoting food security; promoting peace and security; responding to a climate crisis; and strengthen diaspora ties.
I look forward to working with African governments, civil society, diaspora communities across the United States, and private sector organizations to continue to strengthen our shared vision for the future of U.S.-Africa relations.
