U.S. Department of State and the Office of the Chief Protocol Officer are proud to announce the 27th Experience America trip to Wilmington, Delaware with members of the Foreign Diplomatic Corps on July 21, 2022. More than 50 Ambassadors – representing countries across continents 5. – will join the Chief of Protocol of the United States Rufus Gifford to talk to local business leaders and community leaders and highlight the vibrant American city.
Led by the U.S. Department of State, Experience America connects foreign ambassadors with academic, business, community, and cultural leaders. The aim is to build relationships to promote economic investment, trade and dialogue. Experience America brings delegates to Washington to show them our amazing country and all it has to offer. More than 100 countries have participated in Experience America tours since it began in 2008 and international delegations have visited more than 20 cities and states, including Austin, Little Rock, San Diego, Atlanta, and throughout Alaska. . Experience America tours have produced tangible results at home and around the world, including establishing ports of call in U.S. cities. and port agreements worldwide. Thursday, July 21, 10:00 a.m. – STAR Campus Presentation and Laboratory Tour at University of Delaware – Foreign ambassadors will learn about the cutting-edge research happening at the University of Delaware by America’s next generation of talented students, and creative faculty. , with a launch presentation and tour of STAR Campus facilities. A center for innovation, UD’s Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus brings together world-class academics and research with industry and public relations.
