In Guinea, we continue to call on the transitional government to move the country quickly through a transparent and consultative process led by constitutional and civil democracies. We acknowledge ECOWAS ‘commitment to Guinea and encourage further cooperation and dialogue with all stakeholders. We urge all stakeholders to work together to agree on a transition chronology with specific and measurable references that will facilitate progress towards democratic rule. We support steps to increase dialogue between stakeholders and strongly support the right to a peaceful assembly that takes place in peaceful protest.
