Here are some of the best games to watch from January 13 to January 16, with the NFL playoffs and NBA taking center stage.

Friday, Jan. 13

NBA: Golden State Warriors vs. See the article : The best mobile games of 2022 (so far). San Antonio Spurs, 5:30 p.m., ESPN

Many people will watch this game for themselves as the Spurs are expected to set a new NBA single-game attendance record for this game in the Alamodome. You can watch it from the comfort of your home.

NBA: Phoenix Suns vs Minnesota Timberwolves, 6pm, Bally Sports Arizona, Bally Sports North

Yes, neither team has been playing particularly well of late, but both teams have the potential to be a contender in the Western Conference if they can get their act together.

VCU men’s college basketball in Dayton, 7:00 p.m., ESPN2

This is a big Atlantic 10 Conference game with both teams 12-5 overall. Dayton is 4-0 in conference play. VCU is 3-1. Dayton has a seven-game hitting streak and is 9-0 at home.

NBA: Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Clippers, 8 p.m., ESPN

The Nuggets enter the weekend tied with the Memphis Grizzlies for the best record in the Western Conference, but are just 10-10 away from home. The Clippers are 12-9 at home.

Men’s college basketball: Utah State in Nevada, 9:00 p.m., FS1

Both of these teams could have a say in the Mountain West title race with Nevada 4-1 in conference play and 14-4 overall and Utah State 3-1 and 14-3. Nevada has not lost at home this season (8-0).

Women’s college basketball: Stanford at UCLA, 9 p.m., Pac-12 Networks

This could be a very interesting game with UCLA (14-2 overall, 3-1 Pac-12) looking to upset the 16-1 Cardinal, who are 4-0 in Pac-12 play. UCLA is 8-0 at home this season. Stanford is 4-0 away.

Kentucky is only 10-6 on the season and some question the Wildcats coach. A win over Top 5-Tennessee would go a long way in calming some critics.

NBA: Milwaukee Bucks at Miami Heat, 11 a.m., ABC

The Heat are just 23-20 on the season, but are 7-3 in the last 10. These teams have had some truly memorable games over the years and this could be another one.

Men’s college basketball: Kansas State at TCU, noon, ESPN2

Kansas State is 15-1 overall on the season. TCU is 13-3. The Big 12 are loaded, and these teams could have a big say in the conference.

Men’s college basketball: Iowa State at Kansas, 2 p.m., Big 12 Network

Did we just mention the loaded Big 12? Iowa State is 13-2. Kansas is 15-1. Both are undefeated in conference play. Only one will be after Saturday.

NFL: Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers, 2:30pm, Fox

The Seahawks went 9-8 on the season and snuck into the playoffs with the final NFC Wild Card Playoff berth. The 49ers went 13-4 and are the No. 2 seed. The 49ers have beaten the Seahawks twice this season: 27-7 in Week 2 and 21-13 in Week 15.

NFL: Los Angeles Chargers to Jacksonville Jaguars, 6:15 p.m., NBC, Peacock

The 10-7 Chargers are the No. 1 seed. 5 in the AFC Playoffs, the non-division winner with the best record. The No. 4 seed Jaguars won the AFC South with a 9-8 record to get the playoff game at home. The Jaguars beat the Chargers in Week 3, 38-10.

An interesting Big East Sunday morning showdown. Marquette is 14-4 and 6-1 in conference. Xavier is 14-3 and 6-0. Xavier has won 10 in a row. Marquette has won five in a row.

NFL: Miami Dolphins to Buffalo Bills, 11 a.m., CBS, Paramount+

The Dolphins are the bottom seed in the AFC and went 9-8 on the season. The Bills are the No. 1 seed. 2 after going 13-3. The Dolphins beat the Bills in Miami in Week 3, 21-19, but the Bills beat the Dolphins in Buffalo in Week 15, 32-29.

Women’s college basketball: Arizona vs. Utah, noon, Pac-12 Networks

If someone not named Stanford wins the conference, it could be one of these teams. Arizona is 14-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play. Utah is 14-1 and 3-1.

NFL: New York Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings, 2:30pm, Fox

The Giants, the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoffs, went 9-7-1 on the season. The Vikings seeded No. 3 went 13-4. Minnesota beat New York at home in a Week 16 thriller, 27-24.

NFL: Baltimore Ravens to Cincinnati Bengals, 6:15 p.m., NBC, Peacock

The Ravens took the number 6 seed in the AFC postseason after a 10-7 regular season record. The Bengals went 12-4 to win the AFC North and get the number 3 seed. These teams just played in Week 18, a 27-16 win for Cincinnati. Baltimore won a Week 5 game between the two, 19-17.

NBA: Philadelphia 76ers vs Los Angeles Lakers, 7:30pm, NBA TV

As good as the Lakers have been at times this season, they’re just 1.5 games behind the No. 7 seed in the NBA’s Western Conference.

Men’s college basketball: Purdue at Michigan State, 12:30 p.m., Fox

Purdue is 15-1 and Michigan State is 12-4. Both are 4-1 in the Big Ten. This could be a key conference game.

NBA: Miami Heat at Atlanta Hawks, 1:30 p.m., TNT

The Hawks entered the weekend three games behind the Heat for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference. They’d like to make up some ground here.

Phoenix Suns at Memphis Grizzlies, 4 p.m., TNT

The Grizzlies beat the Suns, 125-100 on December 23rd. The Suns beat the Grizzlies, 125-108 on December 28. Who will win MLK Day?

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 6:15 PM, ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN+

The Cowboys were 12-5 in the regular season to claim the #1 seed. 5 of the NFC as the best wild card team. The Buccaneers were just 8-9, but landed the No. 1 seed. 4 and the home playoff game as the winner of the NFC South. The Buccaneers beat the Cowboys in Week 1, 19-3.

NBA: Houston Rockets vs Los Angeles Lakers, 8:30pm, NBA TV

The Rockets may not win many games (10-31 record), but they have had some exciting games this season. Maybe the MLK weekend will end with another one?
