Week three of the college football season is on the books, and the Oklahoma Sooners number 6 kicked off the day with a dominant victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Elsewhere, No. 17 Baylor smothered Texas Tech in a massive scoring blast. At the. 12 BYU dropped to No. 25 Oregon on FOX, while No. 22 Penn State defeated Auburn.
Later, No. 3 Ohio State beat Toledo. At the. 13 Miami (FL) flopped against No. 24 Texas A&M in College Station. Closing things out, Fresno State lost on the road to No. 7 USC
Here are the top plays from Saturday’s Week 3 slate.
Caleb Williams hit Jordan Addison for a touchdown in the game’s opening possession.
The Bulldogs managed to get to two possessions after an electrifying run by Erik Brooks in the second.
Running back Travis Dye got past a bunch of Bulldog defenders and entered the endzone to put USC at 35-17.

Texas A&M finds the end zone first
The Aggies capitalized on a muffled punt from Miami when LJ Johnson ran on a one-yard touchdown. They would hold out to win the low-scoring case.
Washington 39, No. 11 State of Michigan 28
The Huskies scored in the opening possession of the game, when Michael Penix connected with Ja’Lynn Polk.
The Huskies found the end zone for the third time when Penix hit Wayne Taulapapa for a 19-yard score. Washington missed the extra point.
Michigan State threw a touchdown in the fourth quarter, ended by Elijah Collins. The Spartans failed in a two-point conversion attempt.
Despite the Spartans’ attempt to return, Washington’s advantage proved too great to overcome. The fans were justifiably excited to celebrate.
Oregon’s attack began to make waves in a rush to open the case. Bo Nix held on to a 2-yard run to complete a four-play, 64-yard drive for the Ducks’ opening score.
BYU entered the board when QB Jaren Hall faked left, faked right and then found tight end Isaac Rex for the TD.
Just throw the ball in the vicinity of Troy Franklin. He will go up and get it. Franklin’s massive 50-yard reception set up Nix’s two-yard QB dip to push Oregon ahead, 17-7.
Fresh off a touchdown to start the second half, Oregon found the end zone again on their next possession. Nix connected with Ferguson on a 9-yard score, giving the Ducks a 38-7 lead.
Penn State QB Sean Clifford will think twice about running after a great hit by Auburn’s Owen Pappoe.
Freshman Kaytron Allen scored the first TD of his college career with a neat cut across the goal line to reach the end zone unharmed. The play ended an 11-play, 68-yard play and helped the Nittany Lions to a 14-6 halftime lead.
Nicholas Singleton does it alone
The Nittany Lions gave the ball to Singleton three times in what became a three-play scoring play. Singleton started the run with a 53-yard run and then scored a 1-yard score.

Nebraska attacked first, but it didn’t take long for the Sooners to respond back. Gabriel went into his pocket, put it away himself and carried it 61 meters to the house.
This isn’t the traditional way we see teams scoring touchdowns, but Oklahoma is having an extraordinary road party. Gabriel threw a screen pass to tight end Brayden Willis, who then threw a perfect 24-yard shot to Marcus Majors for the score.
Baylor running back Richard Reece took the transfer and headed straight for the middle, untouched by a 14-yard score to give the Bears a 7-0 early lead.
Baylor doubled his lead early in the second quarter when running back Craig Williams took the hand and started the jets, taking 30 yards to the score. Williams took an impressive drop while staying within bounds as his run gave the Bears a 14-0 lead.
Reese was the star of Saturday’s show and capped off his spectacular day with a couple of great shenanigans for six. Reese finished the match with 156 yards on 19 carries (8.2 yards per carry) and three ground scores.
It was a beautiful scene at Notre Dame Stadium before the team’s clash with Cal.
Former Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o was visibly moved to be honored before the game during the pre-game presentation to the color guard.
Te’o addressed the local crowd before kick-off. He received a standing ovation from Irish fans.
Jackson State is on a roll to start the season, and Shane “Hollywood” Hooks said “keep the cameras on” with this one-handed stuntman against Grambling State.
The probability of Indiana winning this football game was incredibly low. The Hoosiers trailed for most of the second half, and even trailed 11 in the fourth quarter.
But a turn over, late-game score and a colossal two-point conversion forced the game into the OT, where the team came up with this pair of powerful plays to steal it.
Syracuse maintained its undefeated record in the final seconds against Purdue to go 3-0 for the first time since 2018. Garrett Shrader and Oronde Gadsden II had the heroic connection with seven seconds left, completing a 25-yard fade in the back to propel Syracuse to a win. by 32-29.
Down 28-26 with 0:02 left on the clock, Appalachian State QB Chase Brice pulled back and threw an Ave Maria pass, which was tackled and landed in the hands of Christan Horn for the winning touchdown!

The Buckeyes continue the electric passing game with Julian Fleming recovering a nimble touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud.
DeQuan Finn rushed in a 23-yard score to reduce Ohio State’s lead to 14.
The Buckeyes took advantage of a Ronnie Hickman interception as Mitch Rossi ran for a touchdown at the goal line.
