ITHACA, N.Y. – For the first time in the 2022-23 academic year, the Liberty League announced its weekly award winners and Ithaca College had five student-athletes from four different sports recognized for outstanding play during the opening weekend of fall competition. . In addition, eight Bombers were also recognized on the weekly Honor Roll.
Special Teams Performer of the Week- Anthony D’AddettaAnthony D’Addetta returned four kickoffs for 161 yards during Ithaca’s 51-14 win at Bridgewater State on Saturday. On the opening kickoff, D’Addetta took a kick 96 yards for a touchdown to set a school record and mark the first kick return for a TD since 2015. He also had returns of 23, 21 and 21 yards in the game.
Women’s Golfer of the Week- Rheanna DeCrowRheanna DeCrow was the top individual scorer in the field of 29 players with a 155 [+11] (79-76) at St Lawrence this weekend. DeCrow finished the first round in a tie for first with teammate Cristea Park and shot the low round of the tournament on Sunday. DeCrow shot a career-low round on Sunday with a plus-four 76 when he birdied the 354-yard par-4 2nd hole and the 440-yard par-4 4th hole. He also registered a pair of birdies on Saturday on the 286-yard par-4 1st and 295-yard par-4 6th. Throughout the weekend, DeCrow carded 19 pars.
Women’s Golf Rookie of the Week- Annika Michel & # xD;
Michel produced the biggest improvement from round one to round two in St Lawrence this weekend. Michel shot a 93 (+21) on Saturday in his first college round but followed it up with a 79 (+7) on Sunday to improve by 14 strokes and move from 14th to ninth on the individual leaderboard. He birdied the par-4, 324-yard 15th on Sunday and parred 10 more holes during the round.
Women’s Tennis Rookie of the Week- Sabrina CheungSabrina Cheung made an impressive debut for Ithaca College as she captured the D-Flight at the Mary Hosking Invitational. She beat Mariana from the University of Rochester 8-4. He was even stronger in his next match holding his opponent from Nazareth scoreless (8-0). Cheung advanced to the semifinals defeating Elena Styliades, 8-4. In what was the Bomber vs. Bomber final, Sabrina Cheung ended up coming away with the D-Flight singles title defeating Caroline Herz 8-6.
Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week- Faith SabatierFaith Sabatier has produced a strong start to her 2022 season as she helped the Bombers get off to a 2-1 start at the Bomber Invitational this weekend. Squaring off against stiff competition, she led all players with a career-high 23 kills in a five-set win over Swarthmore. He then followed up by notching a double in a 3-2 win over SUNY Geneseo. The sophomore outside hitter recorded a match-best 20 kills along with 10 digs. & # xD;
HONOR ROLLElizabeth Pillow scored two goals for Ithaca in a 2-0 week to start the season. Pillow notched the game-winner against Geneseo in the season opener to extend IC’s lead to 3-1 against St. John Fisher on Sunday.
Macy Brandwein got a pair of wins for Ithaca to start the 2022 season. Brandwein allowed one goal and made three saves in a 2-1 win over Geneseo and then recorded one save in 45 minutes of action against St. John Fisher – a 4-1 win.
Jake Williams rushed for 94 yards on 21 carries and a touchdown during Ithaca’s 51-14 win at Bridgewater State to open the 2022 season. Williams had a long run of 11 yards in the game and his touchdown late in the first quarter gave IC a 14-0 lead.
Ian Whitfield made three saves, while facing seven shots to help keep a clean sheet for Ithaca in a 0-0 season-opening tie against Texas Lutheran. He followed that performance with a pair of saves in a 2-0 loss to Stockton.
Ally Stanton has immediately acclimated to her new teammates as she had a big impact in her first-ever start for the Bombers. She scored a brace in a 4-1 win over Mount St. Mary, including the game-winner. He played 30 minutes in a season-opening 2-0 win over Elmira where the junior midfielder put a shot on target.

| The Bombers captured the B-Flight doubles title with Rebecca Andrews and Kayla Shenk besting all competition in the bracket. They worked their way through opponents from St. Lawrence in the semifinals before posting a tight back-and-forth match in the final against Rochester’s Jaclyn Dron and Shreya Mandalapu.
