Working with Truist’s strong sports and entertainment marketing team, Mico helped create an activation space for the Crown Round 10K race in Charlotte, including visiting other races in the community to understand more about these events and Truist activations. He also worked with teams like the Charlotte Knights and Miami Dolphins during his time with the sponsor.

The best advice for this summer: the only way out is to go out and that every professional career is different. Most satisfying aspect of the experience: The connections and networking I was able to do this summer. The most challenging aspect of the transition from school to work: There is simply more variety in the workplace. In school they teach you the basics of marketing. When you walk into a company that offers more and has multiple departments within marketing, you really have to dig in and see what you really want to do within marketing. Class I wish I had taken: I wish they had classes on different things or marketing departments. One word to describe the fellowship: Dream. Expected achievement after 10 years: I would like to run a marathon thanks to Truist and maintain a good balance between work and personal life.
