MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) – Dozens of Mandan residents attended a concert beyond Saturday, organized by the Bismarck-Mandan Wind Ensemble.

The concert in the park program included the premiere performance of “Across the Northern Sky”.

The piece was commissioned by employees to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Eckroth Music, a music business founded in Mandan.

“After today’s premiere, it will premiere in all of our territories, and a copy of the concert band’s song will be given to our customers for them to enjoy in their communities, too,” said Eckroth Music CEO Jeff Eckroth.
