The Goodwood Revival is back for 2022, with an exciting line-up of displays, activities and entertainment.
Running over three days, from 16 to 18 September, the annual immersive event recreates the vintage glamor and excitement of motor racing at Goodwood from 1948 to 1966, looking back at an era when things were made to last and celebrating the ‘make do and mend’ mantra . – the concept of caring for cherished items, and repairing and upcycling to ensure a lifetime of use.
This year, for the first time, Goodwood Revival is hosting a lifestyle hub known as Revive and Thrive Village – an event within an event, if you will – which will bring that mantra to life through a series of workshops focused on skills and craftsmanship. and demonstrations led by leading artists, artisans and experts from the vintage world, sharing sustainable solutions for your home and wardrobe.

On Friday and Saturday, vintage style activist and jazz bandleader Dandy Wellington will host a series of talks – Vintage Style Not Vintage Value – offering insights into its vintage community.
On Sunday, Juliet Uzor, winner of the BBC’s Great British Sewing Bee in 2019, will host a discussion on sustainable dressmaking, as well as sign copies of her book.
A series of craft cabins can be found throughout the village, giving visitors the chance to see first-hand how heritage skills are used to revive old treasures and create new ones from old materials.
Writer and influencer Paula Sutton will work with stylist Charlotte Jacklin to discuss their love for economical vintage interiors, and give tips on how to style your earth.
Furniture and textile designer Zoe Murphy, who specializes in upcycling medieval pieces from her studio in Margate, will show you how to use her printing techniques on wood.
A series of sewing workshops will take place throughout the festival, empowering visitors to create and patch their own clothes and accessories. Find out how to make everything from a vintage style headband to a Bargello wall hanger.
Micaela Sharp, star of Interior Design Masters, will be co-hosting several talks throughout the weekend, covering everything from heritage hunting to upholstery advice.
Film director Onyi Moss, who also has a perfect vintage style, will discuss her approach to fashion and film.
A series of vintage beauty-themed workshops will take place throughout schedule, teaching guests how to master a 1940s-style veil, a ’50s style veil or a beehive inspired by the 60s.
