DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) – Summer time has arrived, and that means time to take a few days to enjoy the summer vacation.

Being away from home, your daily activities and activities can provide the mental and physical relaxation that we all need. However, if we are not careful, we can come back from a tired vacation and need more time to recover from our travel schedule.

In Idon this week on lifestyle Nikki Karnowski of Teaching, Advice, and Metamorphosis Training offers some tips for having the best vacation.

Sometimes when we travel, we come back we need more vacation, but Karnowski says there are flexible ways to enhance your vacation.

The first step is to plan your rest and do not waste your vacation to fill no breaks.

Karnowski says to try and allow yourself a day or two here and there just to do something to schedule some reduction times during working days.

The second tip is to define what inspires you.

Karnowski says everyone is different about how they relax and unwind, so find out what that means for you.

And the ultimate goal is to take the time to think about and enjoy your relationship.

According to Karnowski, spending quality time with our loved ones during the holidays builds our partnership and helps us develop those most meaningful relationships.
