FARMINGTON, CT — The Bridge Healing Arts Center, a wellness and community center in Farmington, and Arieli Capital, a US-based holdings and investment firm focused on innovation and technology, held their inaugural Well4Tech Bootcamp downtown.

Six global and US-based market-ready startups, including Elvy, JetSweat, Jama, Logos, MeNow and MetaBites, participated in the recent week-long program, according to an announcement on June 27.

During the week, the entrepreneurs met with investors and industry leaders to help them advance their proof-of-concept and market expansion.

“We have been committed to growth in the Greater Hartford area for many years, and this new venture has spawned a vibrant wellness technology center here in Farmington, Connecticut. Our event brought together investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders from around the world, developing the economic development engine for this region,” said Yisroel Rabinowitz, founder of the Bridge Healing Arts Center.

MetaBites, an AI-based nutrition coaching platform for health systems, was chosen as the overall winner at Bootcamp Demo Day, receiving a year’s rent for office space in Hartford, the opportunity to pitch the company to ShareNett, $250,000 in funding, and business development services, and $40,000 in Oracle Cloud Credit. Other award winners included Jama, an AI-based app that connects and shares parenting tips and information with like-minded parents, and JetSweat, a back-end software platform that enables boutique fitness studios to quickly create and upload content. These companies received $250,000 in financing and business development services and $40,000 in Oracle cloud credit.

“When I bought this complex, I wanted to create an oasis of conventional and unconventional health and wellness practitioners. We’ve been slowly finding the right practitioners for this community, but we felt like we could expand our vision to do more as we’re located near so many health insurance companies,” Rabinowitz said.
