ROME – M.A.Polce, a leading provider of managed information technology (IT) and cybersecurity in downtown New York for more than 20 years, celebrated the addition of approximately 10,000 square feet to its building at 401 Phoenix Drive in the technology park and Griffiss Business with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday.
The President and CEO of the M.A. Polce, Michael A. Polce, joined members of the Polce family and staff, along with members of the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce, for the festivities around the ribbon-cutting, along with the The Chamber ‘s Business After Hours event.
CEO Polce explained that the location of MA Polce started at about 4,000 square feet and has now grown to more than 14,000 square feet, supporting the company’s growth strategy. M.A. Polce completed the expansion of its headquarters on December 31, 2020, but the holidays were postponed due to the pandemic.
The 6,750-square-foot (main floor) expansion, plus approximately 3,000 square feet of basement space that was transformed into offices, and an event center for special events and workouts, and an exercise area with showers, they doubled their existing surface.
“The decision to expand our presence in Rome was a logical step in our business growth strategy,” Polce said. “It’s a great community and rich talent. It’s also a short drive from our Syracuse location, where we also continue to expand.”
The Syracuse facilities of M.A. Polce are located at 301 Plainfield Road, Suite 300.
The new space at Rome headquarters will accommodate 22 additional employees, and the design encourages collaboration and communication with the growing team, Polce said. Since the expansion, M.A. Polce has hired 12 new employees to support the company’s rapidly expanding customer portfolio.
M.A. Polce received $ 260,000 in 2020 for the $ 1.5 million project through the State Consolidated Funding Awards for Empire State Development.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company had to postpone the event for almost two years.
During the chamber ceremony, Polce said he felt honored to have his company nominated among the best places to work in downtown New York by CNY Business Journal. The survey consisted of Research & amp; Marketing Strategies (RMS), an independent market research firm that analyzed the data and reported the findings. CNYBJ will announce the official results on September 12 at its annual awards ceremony, according to the company.
“We are also ranked among the top 256 managed security service providers (MSSPs) worldwide,” Polce added.
After the event, Polce expressed his gratitude to all the people who have supported him and made the project possible.
“The day was not just about M.A. Polce, it was a celebration and a reflection on the hard work and dedication of so many people, both in our company and outside the organization,” Polce said. “There were countless organizations and people who were key not only to making the project a success, but to making it a success. Looking at it at a high level, it’s Rome. It’s a community that looks and moves forward with business and development. “
