RFA Seeks New Partner to Support the Promotion and Monitoring of Quality HIV Clinical Services for NYSDOH’s AIDS Institute Quality of Care Program

ALBANY, N.Y. (June 29, 2022) – The New York State Department of Healths (NYSDOH) AIDS Institute announced the release of a new Request for Applications (RFA) to support the AIDS Institute’s Quality of Care program. At the heart of its mission to promote the health and well-being of all individuals across the country living with HIV, NYSDOH’s AIDS Institute promotes and monitors the quality of clinical HIV care and prevention services received by New Yorkers. To ensure fair access to beneficial social determinants of health, NYSDOH’s Quality of Care program collects data on the performance of HIV carriers. This data is then used to identify and promote areas for improvement and capacity for quality management.

RFA, issued jointly with Health Research, Inc. and distributed to potential applicants across the state, gives NYSDOH the opportunity to select a partner who can offer a robust range of services, including activities related to the development, dissemination, implementation and evaluation of clinical high-quality HIV care and its attendant risks and comorbidities. The grant includes $ 680,000 in annual funding, totaling $ 3,400,000 for the five-year total.
