The Daily Advertiser obtained information about the June 2022 food safety inspection from the Louisiana Department of Health.
The top 4 restaurants with the most critical violations are listed, along with an explanation of the findings. All restaurants on the list have at least 10 critical violations, which are listed with explanations provided by LDH.

According to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, uncorrected critical violations are more likely to contribute to food contamination or illness. Less serious violations are not directly related to foodborne illness, but can become dangerous if not corrected.
Lafayette Parish had 1,403 violations in June, about 22% of which were critical. About 393 violations were repeated despite having previously been flagged in the same location.

Around 510 violations were resolved on the spot while the inspector was still present.
Most of the critical violations in Lafayette Parish involved:
No violations were found at 36 of the 286 addresses inspected in Lafayette Parish. There were no critical violations at around 148 addresses.
