Summer fun has started and Moncus Park wants to have fun!

The park recently opened its sports field. These additions make the park a great place for children and families to gather this summer. Weekly events such as the Farmers’ Market and free fitness classes helped bring Moncus Park to the village of Lafayette.

On Friday, Moncus Park is hosting the Food Truck Day party and summer award competition. Starting at 10 a.m. there will be advertisements, advertisements and lots of food. The participating food vehicles are:

Food Search: Lafayette food carts crawfish quesadillas and Bloody Mary salads, etouffee sliders

Food Search: Want chicken wings? Lafayette restaurant offers 15 sauces and a full bar

The summer fashion contest is an event for groups of 5 to 20 people. Each team must register by Friday afternoon. Arrange for groups to coordinate colors with this summer’s colors: yellow, orange, blue, and green. You are free to style but you want to use those colors. Creativity is welcome.

The trial will begin at 1pm. and winners will be announced at 2pm. Parties are asked to stay for the duration of the trial. For added entertainment, take a group photo in front of a food truck before noon and name the Moncus Park using the hashtags #FoodTruckDayParty #SummerFashion #MoncusPark.
