AUGUST 4, 2022 – The University of Texas at San Antonio is offering a number of community art programs this fall thanks to a partnership with the Southwest School of Art (SSA) that was completed on July 1.

This partnership creates an expanded professional education program that reaches all levels of students and adds junior and senior community classes to the existing professional degree programs available at UTSA.

Community arts programs, which have been at the core of SSA’s mission for nearly 50 years, will continue to be at the forefront of UTSA’s leadership. Classes will be taught at the school’s beautiful downtown location — now called the UTSA Southwest Campus — giving students access to state-of-the-art studios and equipment located within historic buildings on campus.
