The Canton Museum of Art (CMA) School of Art is now offering the fall semester of classes and workshops for students of all ages/skill levels.

With more than 30 new classes and workshops, for Adults, Teens, Kids and Toddlers, School of Art continues its sessions in person, inside the classrooms at CMA. All Art School classes and workshops are taught by professional artists and certified art teachers. Registration for Fall classes and workshops is now open and can be accessed on the CMA website at https://www.cantonart.org/learn

The Art School’s Kids and Toddlers classes feature hands-on, age-appropriate learning including “My First Art Class,” “Art of Illusion,” and “Creative Clay.” Art Play Dates, designed specifically for Toddlers 1-4, give young children the chance to experience a one-day workshop with a parent, grandparent or carer. Children’s workshops include “Mikro City Sculptures”, “Urban Gravity Painting”, and “Mixed Media Memory-Making” family-style where several generations of a family can experience art together.

The Art School’s Adult and Youth classes are inclusive for all experience levels. Fall class offerings include 12-week ceramics classes as well as 6-week acrylic and watercolor painting classes, screen printing and figure drawing classes. The Art School is also offering a “Glass Fusing” class using an in-house kiln and a “Silver Necklace Jewelry” class which will focus on soldering, cutting and bezel setting techniques. . Workshops for Adults and Youth for Fall will include “Stained Glass Flower Garden Stake”, “Stained Glass Fall Votive”, “Ceramic Wall Vase”, “Wet Felted Vessels”, “Silver Spoon Ring Workshop” and “Speed Art and Beer Tasting”. with Fat Head’s Brewery” workshop, sponsored in part by Fat Head’s Brewery.
