Firefly Lane Season 2 Not Coming to Netflix in August 2022!
The series follows best friends Tully (Katherine Heigl) and Kate (Sarah Chalke) who support each other through good times and bad with an unbreakable bond that carries them from their teens to their forties. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah.
Season 1 of Firefly Lane debuted in February 2021, and while it’s been a hot second since our last update on the Netflix original show, the Sarah Chalke and Katherine Heigl series — which dominated Netflix’s top 10 list of 2021 — is returning to Netflix, but not at any point in the month of August. The good news is; that a Season 2 is definitely on the way, and according to Variety, the second installment of the hit Netflix drama, starring medical show alums Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) and Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy), will be back on our screens in 2022!
But now for the bad news; an exact release date for Firefly Lane Season 2 has yet to be revealed by the streamer. This means that we still don’t know when exactly we can see the eight new episodes. According to IMDb, Firefly Lane Season 2 began filming in August 2021 and wrapped things up in April 2022. This means that the second season is likely currently in its post-production phase. Typically, post-production takes about six to eight months (depending on the size of the project and the number of special effects needed), so it’s likely that we’ll find Firefly Lane Season 2 on our screens sometime in the fall of 2022. the earliest we predict will be released sometime in October, exactly six months after it went into post-production.
