The PNC Foundation recently announced that over the next three years, it will award $300,000 in PNC Arts Alive grants to Miami-Dade County nonprofit visual and performing arts organizations, in line with its mission to support the arts and increase access and engagement with the arts.

Since launching its Florida PNC Arts Alive initiative in 2016, PNC has pledged more than $1 million to area organizations, supporting 58 programs. Temporary opera units, interactive musical performances in hospitals and street chalk art are among programs previously supported in the Sunshine State.

PNC accepts grant proposals for $10,000 and up from eligible nonprofit arts organizations that support fresh and new arts programming, value-added public programming and creative use of technology. The deadline for applications is 5 p.m., August 12.

Organizations must have an operating budget of $75,000 or higher, be located in Miami-Dade County and have been operating for more than two years.

“With COVID-19 still impacting live performances and art exhibits, we felt it was more important than ever to extend our commitment to Miami’s $1.5 billion local arts industry with much-needed grants,” said Cressman Bronson , PNC’s regional president for Southeast Florida. “Through PNC Arts Alive, we have the opportunity to revitalize the arts locally with a variety of inspiring productions that will take our shared vision of a thriving artistic community to the next level.”

Arts Alive PNC 2022 grants will enable recipients to increase access to visual and performing arts activities and bring them to life in a wide range of artistic disciplines and a variety of subjects. Full details of the program and how to apply are available at www.pncartsalive.com.

“We know what art can do, including how it changes perspectives and even has the power to change lives. From classical music and fine art to dance and theater, we are committed to keeping the arts alive in Miami,” added Bronson.

PNC Arts Alive is a multi-year initiative by PNC and the PNC Foundation dedicated to supporting visual and performing arts groups with the goal of increasing arts access and engagement in new and innovative ways. The PNC Foundation, which receives its main funding from the PNC Financial Services Group, supports organizations that provide services for the benefit of communities in which it has a significant presence. The organization focuses its philanthropic mission on early childhood education and community and economic development, which includes the arts and culture.
