The show stars Ella Balinska and Adeline Rudolph as Jade and Billie Wesker, twin sisters who find their way into a planned community when their father gets promoted into Umbrella Corporation (the corrupt pharmaceutical company we saw in previous versions of Resident Evil). The story skips between 2022, when we see the twins as young girls, and 2036, when the devastating T virus reduced the world’s population to just 300 million.
“They said the world would end in 2036,” says Balinska in the trailer above. “But they were wrong. The world ended a long time ago.
As we can see in the clip, this mysterious T-virus turns people into monsters, and during the episodes of the series that take place in 2036, the world was inhabited by these dangerous creatures (think The Walking Dead, but even more terrifying).
In addition to Balinska and Rudolph, Resident Evil also features Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Paola Núñez, Lance Reddick, Turlough Convery, Connor Gosatti, Ahad Raza Mir and Pedro de Tavira Egurrola.
